The most recent are the Matryoshka dolls of <a href="http://mysparkle.blogspot.com/2010/11/matryoshka-doll-ornament.html" rel="nofollow">My Sparkle</a> fame. I bought my felt online and forgot to get any hair-coloured stuff, so my first attempt was this <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/19025199@N00/6348216095" rel="nofollow">purple-haired</a> punkish version. I freehanded the skull and it shows, but I still love it anyway.
