Sneak Peek | Fat Quarterly Issue #4

I am very excited to show a sneak peek of my latest quilt and pattern to be included in Fat Quarterly magazine:

Carousel Quilt

I had a great time working with Kate Spain's new "Central Park" line for Moda, and with the issue's focus on working with solids, I was pleased to find 4 shades of shot cottons to coordinate with the prints.

Carousel Quilt

Issue 4 will be released this coming Tuesday, January 25th to our subscribers, and available for single issue purchase on Thursday, January 27th. Learn more on our website at http://www.fatquarterly.com.

  1. That's a great design and an unusual block (in my opinion) to highlight focus fabrics. Way to go!

  11. Ok, that is fantastic! I have this line for a project that at the last second I changed my mind on and used something else. It is sitting in the drawer calling my name and now I am inspired. I also really like that central block. Can't wait to see the pattern.

  12. LOVE this quilt! That print from central park is one of my new favorites. I wish I could free motion quilt like that... always keeps me from using too many solids since I can really only stitch in the ditch or do diagonal/straight lines. Love the weekly inspiration from your blog :)

  16. This is really beautiful! I like the way you incorporated the solids in with the prints. I think that solids are often forgotten and can be just as important as the prints in creating a balanced design. Well done!
